The month of August is National Immunization Awareness Month so we at Moore Vet Clinic would like to educate our clients on our vaccination protocols in honor of creating awareness about vaccinating your pets.
There are two different categories of vaccines: essential and non-essential. Essential vaccines are those that your pet must have, either because the disease is highly infectious and/or deadly or because the state requires it such as Rabies. Non-essential vaccines are those vaccines that are not necessary unless your pet is exposed to areas such as being on the show circuit or being boarded in a boarding facility.
Through this month, we will be posting information on both our Facebook and website regarding these important vaccinations and what they are protecting your furry friend from!
